This has been my most ambitious spare time mockup so far, spanning about two months worth of work and featuring music by Jonathan Geer. I had already known for years I wanted to explore a hypothetical sequel to Chrono Trigger, Cross and Radical Dreamers, but it took me a full year until I figured out how I wanted it to look. After finishing a massive game project spanning a decade of development, I was ready to tackle a new series.

Soedesco also announced that a Limited Edition was on the way for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game and would be coming out on the 13th of July. While the PS4 and Xbox One's digital versions of Owlboy were already released on the 10th of April, the PlayStation 4 is also getting a physical release coming on the 29th of May.
